This island is so incredibly beautiful to witness from afar and when you are on it. The trees towering over the walls is a remarkable sight.
An interesting place to visit. A large well maintained cemetery that is several centuries old. There are signs to Stravinsky's grave.
The facade of the large building that you can usually see from the Venice side is the only presentable side of the building. The rest of the place looks rough. Gardens are well cared for and it's still an active cemetery. Still worth a 30 minute visit.
Easiest way to get here from Ferrovia, the train station stop, is to take a direct ACTV water bus line 3 to Murano and then catch line 4.1. here.
Too many people, you need to squeeze through a crowd to get anywhere.
When we were there, about a week ago, the weather was supposed to be really windy and cold, but instead it was extremely hot, so come prepared with a bonus outfit incase it's the same weather let down.
It's the first Renaissance church in Venice, also a cemetery. You will see its beautiful side-face from Murano - the famous glass making island. There is no tour operating for this island, but you can visit it with Venice daily pass.
Beautiful and massive cemetery. You could walk around for hours - I spent ages looking for my relatives. It was a lovely and peaceful break from the very busy streets of Venice.
Majestic cemetery. On the way to Burano (or Murano, or Torcello) it might be a good idea to stop for a while if you are into this kind of art.
Nice location in the near of Venezia. Perfect for silent Moments
Well worth a visit on the way back from burano or murano
